Amazing Staircase + Closet Message

Photos from a tour I had of the Plumb-Bronson House in Hudson, New York. It was originally built and designed by architect Alexander Jackson Davis in the mid-1800s. The staircase is amazing, and rightfully the most famous element here. The last photo was a random find in one of the house's bedroom closets. If only I knew the story.

Anne and John Anniversary Portraits

John, my best friend since I was 18 months old, was here in New York with his wife, Anne, for their two year wedding anniversary, which means we just had to have a photo shoot. Photographing a life-long friend, who happens to also be a photographer, is an honor, and also being able to do a photo session in my own backyard (literally) was especially nice. Love the blooming yellow forsythia!
